Our educational consultants provide professional development across our county. We host workshops at the Regional Office of Education on a wide variety of topics for educators. In keeping with the Professional Development Team’s vision, the consultants also work closely with schools to provide imbedded and sustained PD in the form of instructional coaching and facilitation of county-wide professional learning communities. We are an approved Learning Partner for Illinois Empower and work with several districts in our county to meet the goals of their ESSA Plans. Our Mission:
The goal of the DeKalb County ROE Professional Development Team is to provide embedded and sustained professional learning tailored to meet the evolving needs of our educational community. We advocate for the best interests of all students and believe in the value of educating the whole child so that they have an opportunity to reach their greatest potential.
We plan to accomplish this goal by collaborating with educators to offer PLCs, coaching, and workshops. We honor the expressed needs of our districts, the expectations of the state of Illinois, and our own vision for equitable distribution of resources and social justice.
