Amanda taught in the area of English / Language Arts for 15 years at Granger Middle School in Aurora, Kishwaukee Education Consortium, and then at DeKalb High School. She earned National Board Certification in 2008 and has a Master’s degree and a Specialist degree in Educational Leadership. She was elected to the office of Regional Superintendent of Schools in 2012 and is always looking for opportunities to expand ROE programming in order to serve the needs of the community.

Miriam taught middle school Social Studies, Language Arts, and Pre-Algebra in Camas, WA prior to moving to Aurora, IL. Upon arriving in the Midwest, she served as a home bound tutor, substitute teacher, and ACT tutor. She began her tenure at Aurora University in 2005 where she taught in both the teacher preparation and General Education programs. Miriam completed her Ed.D in Leadership in Curriculum & Instruction in 2017. Her dissertation research examined the experience of underrepresented minority students who learned mindfulness. She is the founding director of Resilient Mind Consulting, a non-profit dedicated to helping communities implement contemplative practices, and a board member with the Coalition of Schools Educating Mindfully (COSEM).

Jordan Eggleson is a graduate of Sycamore High School and has returned to DeKalb County to join the professional development team as an instructional coach/educational consultant.
She earned her Bachelor’s of Elementary Education degree from the University of Illinois-Chicago with a middle school math endorsement. She earned a Master’s in Administrative Leadership from Alverno College and holds a Principal License and Director of Instruction License. Before working at the DeKalb Regional Office of Education, she taught third through eighth grade in various capacities, served as an instructional coach and mentor for teachers, and led elementary school teams in the role of assistant principal, network online school principal, and building principal in the city of Milwaukee, WI. Jordan has experience successfully implementing Daily 5/CAFE, Reading and Writing Workshop, Zearn/EngageNY, as well as several personalized learning platforms. She is passionate about culturally responsive teaching, restorative practices, and trauma informed care. She is looking forward to supporting students, teachers, and leaders in DeKalb County! |
Christine Kipp, M.S.

Chris has a bachelor’s and master’s degree related to Family & Child Studies. She has been the director of several early childhood programs, with the majority of her career spent at NIU. While there, she gained knowledge and experience working with a very diverse group of children, families, and colleagues. Chris has taught college level classes and provided professional development and coaching to early childhood teachers. More recently, she worked for one year as a literacy assistant at Jefferson Elementary and then taught the Early Childhood Education career class at KEC for four years. Chris joined the Regional Office of Education as an Educational Consultant in 2021. Her two primary passions are centered around play and inquiry-based learning in the early grades and equity/inclusion in classrooms and schools.
